Ruth E. Tyler-Cross, Ph.D., is a patent agent and technical advisor of the firm. With nearly a decade of patent prosecution experience, Dr. Tyler-Cross has obtained numerous patents related to DNA, new pharmaceuticals, and medical treatments for the firm's clients. Her areas of expertise include peptide, protein and carbohydrate chemistry, as well as molecular biology. Dr. Tyler-Cross has extensive experience with techniques involving protein isolation and characterization, peptide synthesis and analysis, rational drug design and the investigation of genetic regulation.Dr. Tyler-Cross has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Tyler-Cross is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the American Chemical Society.
